40 years between the first and second Lefort shears at K A Anderson Ltd., with the arrival of their new…
This is a Lefort Mobile 500 shear baler designed for the processing of ferrous and non‐ferrous metals. There are two folding lids which compress the material into the form of a log. It can then either be sheared to length, compressed and sheared to length or compacted into a bale.
After a gap of almost 40 years, the arrival of a Lefort Mobile 700T Shear Balers for K A Anderson is now the second Lefort Shear to work at their company. Delivered to their yard in Ripon recently, the 700T Mobile shear on six axles is a big strong shear but is easily capable of being moved around the site or taken off site to work on demolition sites, etc.
Jim Anderson expressed his pleasure with the new machine and said “The build quality, the strength and the processing speed of the Lefort can be seen to very good effect now and will be working in our yard for a long time to come. The machine is definitely stronger than previous machines with more force on the lids, providing a more dense product with very good output returns.”
The machine will be utilised in their Ripon yard for general scrap, heavy scrap and car baling. The 7 metre long box being ideal for the larger vehicles and allowing more throughput per cycle.
